Watering Schedule

Stage 2 (Water Alert)

9 out of the last 11 years, Visalia has experienced below average rainfall, and the groundwater table the City relies on for its water supply remains critically low, measuring 30 feet lower than in 2010. As a consequence, the City Council has authorized that Stage 2 (Water Alert) conservation measures be implemented effective March 1, 2021.

Outdoor watering may be performed as follows:

Drip Irrigation Systems may be used any day of the week, water before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.

Hand Irrigation of non-turf ornamental plants using a watering can or attended hose fitted with a positive shut-off nozzle may be performed any day of the week at any time.

Sprinkler Irrigation may be used based on the following watering schedule:

March 1st, 2024 - November 30th, 2024

December 1st, 2024 - February 28th, 2025

Water before 8 am or after 6 pm on your watering day.

Watering days are based on whether your address ends in an odd (1, 3, 5, 7, 9)

or even (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) number.
