Why is community wide dialogue important?
Public community input workshops are necessary to have dialogue to identify affordable housing, housing needs among all economic and social segments, and homeless and community development priorities.
For grants, priorities should align with the objectives of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs. For the Housing Element, public outreach through these workshops is an effort to gain input from key stakeholders and members of the public to expand upon existing policies policies
