Recruitment Now Open for Planning Commission

Applications are now being accepted for one position on the Visalia Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council concerning land use, building, subdivisions, administers the Zoning Ordinance and handles matters that affect the growth and development of Visalia. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 13, 2026, at 5 p.m.

Interviews for Planning Commission applicants are scheduled to take place on the evening of Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
The Commission may have additional meetings scheduled to address specific matters and requires the filing of a Fair Political Practices Commission Conflict of Interest Form 700. The Visalia City Council will consider formally appointing the Planning Commissioner to the unexpired term ending June 30, 2027.
