Join the Visalia City Council for a Council Meeting today starting at 4 p.m.

The meeting will be held in-person in the Visalia City Hall Council Chambers at City Hall West located at 707 W. Acequia Ave in Visalia.

The City Council meetings take place in three parts, two of which are open to the public and provide opportunity for public engagement.

4 p.m. - Work Session: Join the City Council as they discuss items on the Work Session agenda. These often include employee introductions, project updates and presentations on current City matters.

6 p.m. - Closed Session: This is not open to the public as this is time for City Council to meet regarding confidential and legal matters.

7 p.m. - Regular Session: Often considered the "regular" City Council meeting, this includes special presentations, the Consent Calendar (general City business items), and specific items noted on the Agenda under Regular Items.

You can attend the Council Meeting in-person or can stream the meeting live by clicking here. Then, look for Upcoming Meetings, today's date, and then click under Video.

The meeting will start at 4 p.m. with the Work Session. Work Session will adjourn at 6 p.m. for the Closed Session. The Regular Session will start at 7 p.m. Both the Work Session and Regular Session are open to the public.

Pending no technical difficulties, the Council meeting will be streamed via our online agenda management system, or citizens may join the meeting in-person.

Please note the end time of the meeting is not stated, once all of the meeting's agenda items are heard, the meeting may end before 9 p.m. or extend past 9 p.m.

You can attend the meeting in-person. During the Regular Session at 7pm, Mayor Poochigian will call for any public comments and invite members of the communtiy to come forward. There is a 3-minute time limit, but you are welcome to speak in front of City Council during the Public Comment period.
