New Traffic Signal Gets Green Light
The traffic signal installation at the intersection of County Center Street and Houston Avenue will enter full operation on Friday June 14, 2019 at 9 a.m.
The temporary traffic signals that are operating at the intersection of County Center Street and Houston Avenue will be removed, refurbished and utilized at another location.
“While the temporary traffic signals are being removed from the intersection, the new traffic signal will operate in an all red flash mode for four hours and the intersection will act as a four-way stop,” shares Sergio Alvarado, City of Visalia Associate Engineer. “We ask that motorists and pedestrians take extra caution on the morning of June 14th and continue to travel safely through the intersection.”
After the temporary traffic signal is removed, the all-red flash period will end and the new traffic signal will be in full operation.
