Hazmat Team Responds to Diesel Spill
On Monday, June 16, 2018 at 10:02 p.m., the Visalia Fire Department responded to a hazardous material spill of diesel.
"Upon arrival, fire personnel found approximately 27 gallons of diesel on the roadway at the intersection of Noble Ave and Giddings St. as well as in the gutter for approximately 270 feet," states Dustin Hall, City of Visalia Fire Department Battallion Chief. The City of Visalia Public Works Department Streets Division assisted by providing sand to absorb the diesel and Fire crews provided environment protection by keeping the fuel out of the storm drain system.

Crews were on scene for approximately 3 ½ hours cleaning up the spill and the roadway was reopened.
