More February Business Boon
With several prospective projects in the works and numerous, notable developments rolling through Site Plan Review, here is a snapshot of what 2018 has given us so far:
- The Shops at Shannon Ranch, a shopping center project comprising of two anchors, several shop spaces and restaurant pads proposed just south of the Riverway Sports Park on Dinuba Blvd north of Riggin came through site plan review last month. Currently the project needs to go through a master planning process before proceeding.
- The 720 E. Center mixed-use development (former Caskey Paper building) will now also include a small indoor parking area and two separate gym spaces in addition to several existing office spaces and the new location of the Planing Mill.
- The former Baja Fresh location on Mooney near Kohl’s will soon be occupied by a new poke brand, LemonShark Poke. Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer or entrée in Hawaiian cuisine that is now a growing health food trend across the country. The new location will also feature an outdoor dining area.
In regards to Building Permit activity, 2018 is off to a good start with 56 new single-family units and 66 new multifamily units coming online in January.
Additionally, 5 new commercial building permits were pulled representing nearly 28,000 square feet of new commercial development. Activity is up in all categories in comparison to the same time last year.
