Council Meeting on 11/20

The next meeting of the Visalia City Council will take place on Monday, November 20thth at the City Council Chambers in City Hall West.
The Work Session will start at 4 p.m. and includes employee introductions from new hires and promotions in Information Systems, Community Development, and Fire. Action items include the consideration of the City's participation in the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation.
The Regular Session will kick off at 7 p.m. and will begin with a special presentation of Southern California Edison's Energy Efficiency Participation Award to the City of Visalia for the Water Conservation Plant Upgrade Project.
Items on the Consent Calendar include, but are not limited to:
- Acceptance of the City of Visalia Cash and Investment Report for the first quarter ending September 30, 2017.
- Authorization for the City Manager to award a construction contract and execute an agreement for the Mill Creek Bridge East of Shirk Street Project to the low bidder Bush Engineering.
Public hearings include a General Plan Amendment, a request by the City to amend Visalia's Infill Incentive Program and General Land Use Policy pertaining to the annexation of Disadvantaged Unincorporated Communities so as to be consistent with the 2016 General Plan Housing Element, Citywide.
