Fire Damages North Visalia Home
Last night at 10:22 p.m. the Visalia Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire that was across from 915 N. Rinaldi Street. Upon arrival of the first fire unit fire was seen coming from the front of a single story residential house located at 914 N. Rinaldi.
The fire was quickly extinguished from the exterior and it was discovered that a wall may have been moved by a possible explosion prior to the arrival of the fire department. Once the fire was under control fire crews searched the house and nobody was found inside of it.
Fire crews did discover evidence that the fire was intentionally set and then notified the Visalia Police Department to assist with the investigation.
The approximate property value of the business was $90,000 dollars with the fire causing approximately $50,000 in damage. There was approximately
$5,000 damage to the contents that were inside the house at the time of the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is suspicious, but appears to be intentionally set and the fire investigation is ongoing partnered with the Visalia Police Department.
