Recruitment Open for City Engineer
The City of Visalia Human Resources Department is currently recruiting for a variety of positions, ranging from City Engineer to Code Enforcement Technician.
An important piece of the Community Development Department, the City Engineer manages, develops, and completes a wide variety of engineering projects and programs involving streets, storm drains, traffic, grading, land development, structural, electrical and/or fire protection systems, mechanical systems, site development, sanitary sewer and water systems; oversees the creation of project plans and project construction as developed by assigned engineering staff.
The recruitment is open until filled with the first review of applications on Monday, November 27th.
A member Community Development Department's Neighborhood Preservation Division, the Code Enforcement Technician conducts field inspections of local businesses to ascertain conformance to City codes, ordinances, and regulations; issues citations for violations of the City’s codes, ordinances, and regulations. They respond to citizen complaints, determines code violations, prepares required documentation and confers with property owners, tenants, and other agencies to monitor code compliance activities.
