Public Feedback Sought for Housing Action Plan

The City receives federal funds to invest in high priority needs in its community through the creation and preservation of decent affordable housing, economic opportunities and providing a suitable living environment for residents across the City.

To this end, the City of Visalia is seeking public comment on the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG and Home Investment Partnership Funds (HOME). . The public is invited to attend a community meeting and/or City Council meeting, where the Draft 2015 Action Plan Amendments and Draft 2016 Action Plan activities will be presented and discussed.

Community meetings are scheduled during the month of March and April, the public is encouraged to attend a session and provide comments. 

The City of Visalia is a Participating Jurisdiction in HUD. The City’s proposed goals and objectives are presented in the federally-mandated (2015-2020) 5-Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan.
