Soon the weather will begin changing and that means that fall fun runs are just around the corner.
This year we're offering something that Visalia has never seen. Are you ready to run for your life? Literally!
The Dead of Night Zombie Run is coming on Friday, October 30th to the Valley Oaks Golf Course. This 21 and over event features a 2.5 mile trail fun run where zombies are the obstacles. At this inaugural run, you'll wear two life flags on a waist belt. Zombies will be chasing you throughout the course, so keep those flags safe and survive if you can. If you lose your flags, you can still finish the course as one of the undead!
All registrants will receive a race t-shirt, finisher medal and entry to the post-race party complete with live music, food, refreshments and fun. Registration is open now and is $35 per person and $45 per person after 10/15. To register visit our Dead of Night Zombie Run registration page on Active.
For those who are fans of a more traditional run, but want something with a twist, the 6th Annual Tule Fog 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and Kids Fun Run is back Saturday, January 23rd.
Staging at Cutler Park and taking place on the St. John's Trail, this is a great way to kick off the new year. This event provides participants a great race with chip timing and healthy snacks. Participants that sign up by January 14th are guaranteed a dri-fit race shirt. Shirt and bib pick up will be on Thursday, January 21st from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Anthony Community Center.
Divisions are broken up into age groups and it's $25 for the 5K Walk/Run, $25 for the 10K Run and $15 for the Fun Run. To register, visit the 6th Annual Tule Fog registration page on Active.
