Committees & Commissions

"There is no cause half so sacred as the cause of a people. There is no idea so uplifting as the idea of the service of humanity." -- Woodrow Wilson, 28th U.S. President

Overview

The City of Visalia’s Committees and Commissions give community members a direct role in shaping City policy, programs, and long-term planning. These advisory bodies review information, gather community input, and make recommendations to the City Council on a wide range of local issues.

Serving on a Committee or Commission is an opportunity to support civic engagement and help guide the future of Visalia.
