Mayor Bob Link (District 2) is a Visalia native with deep roots in the community. Having graduated Mt. Whitney High School, Mayor Link went on to the University of Redlands where he received a B.S. in Business Administration.
Upon returning to Visalia, he served as co-owner of Link's Men's and Women's Wear from 1959 to 2013. Mayor Link is actively involved in the community, having served on the Visalia City Council since 1999 and has previously served as Mayor from 2003 to 2005 and from 2009 to 2011. He is Vice President of Visalia Christian Ministries and as a member of the Visalia Rotary
Past community service includes President of the West Visalia Kiwanis Club - 1969, President of the Visalia Chamber of Commerce - 1978, Board of Directors for Boy Scouts of America - 1973, Board of Directors of Menswear Retailers of America, Chairman of the Financial Operation Group - 1990 to 1992, Board of Directors for First Baptist Church, Board of Directors, Bill Glass Crusade for Christ 1973, Secretary of the PBID Alliance Board 1999, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Client Development Programs from 1993-2001, Treasurer for the Visalia Cemetery District 1995 to 2001 and active in the Visalia Bobby Sox Softball Organization from 1975 to 1980.
