Packout Information
The standard refuse collection provided by the City of Visalia requires that cans be placed curbside in order to be serviced. However, the city does understand that this could be a difficult task for some residents. Packout Service has been established to provide exemptions for curbside service if no one at the residence is physically able to place a full refuse can at the curb.
To qualify for this service you must provide a doctor's note verifying the disability. A prescription form is acceptable. Details of your condition are NOT REQUIRED, only the physician's opinion that you are not able to handle your waste cans by yourself. Your physician's office may fax the note to us at (559) 713-4801.
If the exemption is granted, the city will provide Packout Service for your 3 containers at no cost. If there are additional cans being serviced at the address, a fee of $13.00 per month will be charged for each additional can that is on the account.

Upon acceptance into the program, we will begin providing the Packout Service. It is the customer's responsibility to notify the Solid Waste Division at (559) 713-4499 if/when the situation changes allowing you to discontinue packout services and begin placing your own can curbside for servicing. If it is determined that Packout Service at the residence is no longer needed, and you do not inform the City of Visalia Solid Waste Office at (559) 713-4499, you can be charged the Voluntary Packout fee of $26.05 per month.
By signing the application, you will be agreeing to all terms and regulations pertaining to this service.
