This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) discloses the practices of THE CITY OF VISALIA, VISALIA CONNECT, operated by the City of Visalia (“THE CITY OF VISALIA”, “we”, or “us”), concerning information we obtain by and through your use of the VISALIA CONNECT mobile app (the “App”), and through other interactions and communications you have with us (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Services and becomes effective as soon as you access or use the Application. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which this app collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from Users (each, a “User”).

The VISALIA CONNECT App

THE CITY OF VISALIA does not collect or store personal information from customers downloading, installing or using the App on Apple or Android smartphones or mobile devices. However, personal information is collected when customers use the App to register for a VISALIA CONNECT account. Payment information is collected when customers sign up to make ticket purchases in the App.

What We Do with Your Information

We may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

• To respond to questions or comments: Information you provide helps us respond to your inquiries.

• To improve our app: We may use feedback you provide to improve the App.

• To send periodic emails: We may use the email address you provide to respond to inquiries, questions, and/or other requests.

How We Protect Your Information

We follow appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our services.

The City of Visalia may send messages in the form of mobile notifications, SMS messages or promotional content though the App. The App may use location information to display notifications or promotional content. To manage notifications for the Application, go to the notifications area in the settings for your device and select VISALIA CONNECT.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
