How do I change my password on the Visalia Mobile app?

To change your My Visalia password, please go to the City of Visalia's website at http://visalia.city/mycity and click the "Forgot Your Password" link.

Are there any file name restrictions regarding digital photographs or documents I want to include with My Visalia Respondes request?

File names can only contain letters, numbers, and/spaces plus the file type extension. For example myphoto1.jpg and my letter.jpg are valid file names. A file name with characters apostrophes and accent marks like myphoto's1.doc or myletter!.doc are not valid file names.

Can I track the status of my Request after I submit it?

You can track the status of your Request at any time. If you submitted your request by logging into either Visalia Works, My Visalia, or by our mobile app, Visalia Mobile, then you only have to log in again to see the status. 

If you submitted the request anonymously, or submitted it without logging in to Visalia Works you will need both the RequestID and the LookupID to track your request. Please be sure to make a note of both numbers when you submit our request.

Do I need a user account to submit a request through Visalia Works or Visalia Mobile?

You do not need a user account to submit a request although we recommend it for your convenience. 

If you submitted the request anonymously, or submitted a request without logging in to Visalia Works, you will receive a Lookup ID in addition to the Request ID. You will need both, the RequestID and the LookupID to track your request. Please be sure to make a note of both numbers or you will be unable to track your request.

Do My Visalia, Visalia Works, and Visalia Mobile allow me to use the same login?

Yes, when you create a My Visalia account you automatically establish Visalia Works and Visalia Mobile accounts and vice versa. In fact, you can even submit and track requests directly from your iPhone or Android smartphone with Visalia Mobile, or from the My Visalia portal on the City's homepage.

How do I create a My Visalia account?

Creating you own personalized My Visalia account is easy! Look for the My Visalia ribbon near the middle of the City website homepage. Click the "Create Account" button, provide all required information, and save. You'll receive a confirmation email that you must resond to and then you are ready to customize your My Visalia experience.

If I attach a digital photo or other digital document to a Visalia Works request, does it matter if it is a large file size?

The Visalia Works system cannot accept digital photos (or other documents) that exceed 300 kilobytes (Kb) in size. 

By default, the file size for many digital photos is over 1 megabyte. You may need to modify the resolution of a digital image to 72 dots per inch (dpi) to reduce its size to 300 Kb in order to upload it with your Visalia Works request.

Visalia Works won't let me change my password. Where can I go to change my Visalia Works password?

Your Visalia Works login is also your My Visalia login.

To change your Visalia Works password go to www.visalia.city and look for the My Visalia stripe in the middle of the screen. (Be sure to allow popups from www.visalia.city) Click on the "Login" button, enter your username (e.g., email address), enter your temporary password, and click the submit button. The My Visalia stripe will now have opened a new window and the title "My Visalia" should instead change to display your first name in place of the word "my" as in "Mary's Visalia."

The new window might be the "My Settings" window where you can update your account, change your password, or contact the administrator. Should you not see the "My Settings window", click the "My Visalia" label (that is showing your first name) to reveal the "My Settings" window

What do I do if I can't remember my username or password?

Your username is the email address you provided when you created your account. If you don't recall which email address you used, you will need to email Support. 

If you forgot your password you can request a password reset/temporary password by clicking the "Forgot Username or Password" link in the login window. City staff cannot lookup passwords.

What is the "My Visalia" Portal?

My Visalia Residents Portal

The Resident Portal allows residents and visitors to personalize the website to deliver only the information they are interested in – while keeping everything else just a few clicks away. Site visitors create a user identity and provide contact information if they choose. Once this identity is established, they will be able to select the types of department news, events, communications, favorite website pages, and check the status of their open service request in the CRM Module.

 

Users will be able to view, select and customize the following homepage options:

My News Feeds
My Calendar Events
My Favorites Pages and City Services (receiving email updates if the page is updated)
My Departments or Services (Icons Tray)
My Notifications and Email Subscriptions Lists
My Service Requests (submitted through "Visalia Works" the CRM and the Mobile apps)

What is Visalia Mobile?

Visalia Mobile is the City's mobile service and information portal app for iPhone and Andriod phone users. With Visalia Mobile you can report an issue, submit a request, or provide a comment. Best of all, it is completely integrated with Visalia Works! Your user account on one works on the other. 

With Visalia Mobile and Visalia Works you have the ability to track the process of addressing your request and provide additional information. Your submission is private in that no other citizen can see or track the status of your request and any additional information you provide.

What is Visalia Works?

Visalia Works is the City's Citizen Relationship Management (CRM) system. Through Visalia Works you can access an extensive list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). You can also report an issue, submit a request, or provide a comment. 

With Visalia Works you have the ability to track the process of addressing your request and provide additional information. Your submission is private in that no other citizen can see or track the status of your request and any additional information you provide.
