These closures are part of the current State Route 99 Tulare to Goshen-North Segment Widening Project and are necessary to allow construction crews to perform work to existing bridges. Night-time lane closures will be as follows:
FULL FREEWAY CLOSURE of Eastbound State Route 198 at the State Route 99 interchange will be closed Tuesday night, February 4th, 2014 through Friday morning, February 7th, 2014 between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. each night. Detours will be in place to direct motorists around closure.
Eastbound State Route 198 connector ramps to Northbound and Southbound State Route 99 and will be closed Tuesday night, February 4th, 2014 through Friday morning, February 7th, 2014 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. each night.
Detours will be available, please pay close attention to directional signs. Commuters may experience delays and are encouraged to avoid this area during project work hours and use alternate routes if possible.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on site assisting with traffic control. Closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during construction.
