Recreation Park Universally Accessible Park, Father-Daughter Dance Recognized

Winning both Outstanding Facility and Outstanding Program, the department was awarded for the Recreation Park universally accessible playground the City opened in 2012, and the Father-Daughter Dance, an annual youth enrichment program that celebrated a record breaking attendance year in February.

In addition to the awards of excellence, the Parks & Recreation Department recognized Neighborhood Church with the Community Service Award for their contributions to the Parks and Urban Forestry Division. The church has been an integral part to community-wide events, such as the Senior Center Open House and the Tule Fog Run.

The dedication and spirit of the Interact Club at Redwood High School is evident as advisor, Mrs. Jarocki, leads the club as they contribute to activities throughout the City, assisting with the annual Eggstravaganza, Dia Del Nino Celebration, Arbor Day, and races including the Tule Fog Run and Spooky Spring.
