Join Us For High Flying Fun This Saturday
Visalia Municipal Airport opens its doors to the community for the first ever Airport Appreciation Day and you're invited.
Hosted by Vets with Wings, this special event will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at the Visalia Municipal Airport (9501 West Airport Drive) and is open to aviation enthusiasts and families alike.
Enjoy a tour of the airport, get a peek at unique aircraft of all sizes, bounce houses for the little ones, music, craft and local food vendors along with a Sequoia Brewing Company beer garden. In addition, Vets with Wings will offer aircraft rides for veterans on a free, first come, first serve basis. Aircraft rides for attendees will be available for a fee.
Admission to Visalia Airport Appreciation Day is completely free. The event kicks off with special veterans admission from 8 - 10 a.m. and will open to general admission at 10 a.m., the event runs until 4 p.m.
Parking is free and vehicles may park in designated parking areas in the front lot. No overnight fees and discounted 100LL is available for General Aviation.
The discount is 24-hours beginning 8 a.m. Saturday, June 23rd, ending 8 a.m. Sunday, June 24th
“Transient” Airport Ramp space is open to the public, Airport operations on runway & taxiways are still in effect. No pets will be allowed to enter the event, skilled guide dogs only.
