Earth Day 2018 Celebration
“Roll Into The Future” and celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 21st from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Visalia, in front of Imagine U Interactive Children's Museum, located at the corner of Tipton Street and Oak Avenue.
“In addition to the fun, family-friendly activities, our Earth Day celebration features a community work project this year,” shares Nathan Garza, City of Visalia Natural Resource Conservation Division. “We invite attendees to take part in the Mill Creek clean-up project and really make an impact on the environment this Earth Day. All are welcome and we’ll have all the necessary equipment on hand.”
The Earth Day 2018 event also features activities, exhibitor booths, music, food and an electric and hybrid vehicle showcase by Groppetti Automotive Group. Completely free to attend and open to all ages, the event even features a bicycle raffle.
“Keeping in the true spirit of the event, attendees are encouraged to ride the bus to and from the event for free from anywhere in the City,” adds Garza.
Attendees can catch a free Visalia Transit ride to the Earth Day celebration at any location between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the day of the event, Saturday, April 21, and be dropped off in front of Imagine U Children’s Museum.
Earth Day 2018 is made possible by the Visalia Environmental Committee, Imagine U Interactive Children’s Museum and various sponsors.
