The next meeting of the Visalia City Council will take place on Monday, November 6th at the City Council Chambers.
The Work Session will start at 4 p.m. and includes employee introductions from new hires in Finance, Airport and the Police Department. Items up for review include accepting a body-worn camera policy and implementation grant for the Police Department and Council direction on the use of Housing Related Park Grant Funds.
The Regular Session will kick off at 7 p.m. and will begin with a performance by Visalia Teen Idol 2017 winnter Jason Bionda. Items on the Consent Calendar include, but are not limited to:
- Acceptance of a portion of City owned property along Riggin Ave. into the public street system.
- Appointment of Carla Calhoun and Frank Ruiz as voting members and Timothy Jackson as an Alternate Member of the Citizens Advisory Committee.
Public hearings include testimony on establishing the Visalia Tourism Improvement District and levying assessments, and a request to amend the General Plan Land Use Element Policy pertaining to the annexation of Disadvantaged Unincorporated Communities.
