City Council Meeting on 10/16
The next meeting of the Visalia City Council will take place on Monday, October 16th at the Visalia Convention Center, Ballroom B and C.
The Work Session will start at 4 p.m. with items for review such as the introduction of the Visalia Tourism Marketing District concept and presentation of the Management District Plan.
The Regular Session will kick off at 7 p.m. and includes items on the Consent Calendar such as, but not limited to:
- Approval of the 2017-2018 Youth Non-Profit Grant Awards
- Appropriation of $306,000 and acceptance of the 2017 Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Policy
- Second reading and adoption (an update) to the City's ordinance regulating marijuana
A public hearing will be held to consider an appeal of the Planning Commission's approval of Conditional Use Permit No.2017-08: A request by Christopher Owhaldi to construct a 200 unit apartment complex with a Community Building on the northeast corner of Shirk Street and Doe Avenue.
