You're Invited to the VECC Grand Opening

The City of Visalia welcomes the public to attend the Visalia Emergency Communications Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting taking place Wednesday, September 20th at 11 a.m.

Located at 420 N. Burke St., the Visalia Emergency Communication Center (VECC) will be the permanent home for 911 Dispatch, Fire Administration, the City’s Emergency Operation Center, the Traffic Management Center, and the City’s secure Data Center for Information Services.

The VECC is an 18,790 square-foot, state of the art, essential services facility. The VECC will enhance the operations provided by the city services housed at this location addressing space needs and efficiencies for today and into the future.

The VECC’s Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting will include welcome remarks and introductions from Mayor Warren Gubler, addresses from City Manager Mike Olmos, Chief of Police Jason Salazar and Fire Chief Doug McBee.

Tours of the facility will be conducted by City Staff and the Police Department’s Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS). Attendees will be able to view aerial construction videos and will be the first to see inside the new building, getting a never before seen look at areas not open to the public in the future.
