Visalia Airport Gets Ramp Reconstruction
Noticed work being done at the Visalia Airport? If you've seen construction vehicles come and go, your imagination isn't taking flight.
The Airport Ramp Reconstruction project is currently underway. The project was approved by City Council in 2016, but a winter hold was put on the project and slated for sunnier weather.
The project began in mid-July with a schedule of 8-weeks until completion. The project includes reconstruction of all of the General Aviation ramp areas and associated taxiways.
While Visalia doesn’t have an airline, funds are generated by fuel sales and hangar rentals.
