Meeting on Rehab Project
The public is invited to attend the Ben Maddox Way Rehabilitation Project pre-construction meeting on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the City of Visalia Council Chambers.
The Ben Maddox Way Rehabilitation Project consists of rehabilitation of approximately 1.5 miles of road. The project will include rehabilitation with the complete removal and replacement of the roadway using a Full Depth Reclamation Process with Cement (FDR-C), grind and overlay with the installation of pavement fabric.
The project includes the upgrade of some existing curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements along with miscellaneous underground improvements.
The Project will impact citizens as it involves night work, road closures along portions of Ben Maddox Way and adjacent side streets, as well as other traffic restrictions. Businesses and homes fronting the improvements will be allowed access throughout the duration of construction with minor exceptions.
This meeting is an opportunity for citizens to learn about the Ben Maddox Way Rehabilitation Project and how it will impact the surrounding area. City of Visalia officials will be available to discuss the Project in detail and its impact on the community and answer questions.
