Recruitment Open for Community Outreach Coordinator

The City of Visalia Police Department is recruiting for the position of Community Outreach Coordinator. There is one position available and an eligibility list is being established.

An example of job duties includes, but is not limited to:

  • Develops, schedules, coordinates and presents crime prevention and safety presentations for community groups.
  • Updates social media with accurate, current information to the public.
  • Schedules and coordinates various types of community outreach seminars.
  • Independently responds to phone calls and answers questions relating to crime prevention issues.

The final filing deadline is Friday, June 17, 2016 at 5 p.m. Application and supplemental materials will be evaluated and applicants who appear to be most qualified will be invited to participate in a job related interview and/or practical examination process.

Successful candidates may be required to pass a background investigation, physical examination and/or drug screen.
