New Employment Opportunities in Fire and Finance
The City of Visalia has multiple recruitments going on now, with two departments wrapping up the application period before the end of the year.
The Finance Department is currently recruiting for the position of Financial Analyst. There are two positions available and a list is being established. Under general direction, the Financial Analyst performs financial studies and assists in maintaining the City's accounting system by auditing and reviewing financial records.
With a salary range of $71,195.16 - $89,503.68 annually, the final filing deadline is Friday, 12/22/17 at 5 p.m. PST.
The Fire Department currently has two positions available and an eligibility list is being established for the position of Firefighter Paramedic Trainee/Firefighter Paramedic.
Successful candidates will be required to complete the City of Visalia's Fire Academy, which runs up to 10 weeks. This is the journey level in the Firefighting series which requires prior training and experience in the fire service. The Firefighter/Paramedic position is distinguished from that of Firefighter because of its responsibility to perform advanced life support techniques and maintain Paramedic certification, as well as the full range of fire suppression and fire prevention activities and possession of a State of California Firefighter I Certificate.
Salary range depends on qualifications, the final filing deadline is Monday, 12/18/17 at 5 p.m. PST.
Additionally, the Community Development Department is hiring for the position of City Engineer, while the Police Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Assistant Communications Operator and Communications Operator.
