34th Annual Arbor Day Celebration!
Saturday, April 30, 2016, at St. John's River at Buena Visata
Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care. Founded by J. Sterling Morton in Nebraska in 1872, National Arbor Day is celebrated each year o the last Friday of April. The Visalia Parks & Urban Forestry Division chooses a Saturday at the end of April to celebrate in our area. Many states celebrate at times to coincide with the best tree planting weather for their area.
If you would like to participate in this tree planting event, please contact Melissa Tracy at (559) 713-4384 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
