Planning Commission interviews set for April 23

Six applications were submitted by the March 31 deadline for the two Planning Commission terms ending June 30, 2015. Adam Peck will be officially “termed out” per the Council’s policies of having served more than 8 years. Roland Soltesz is eligible for reappointment should the Council choose to approve another term. In addition to Peck and Soltesz, the other applicants are Marvin Hansen, Chris Gomez, Juan Lopez, and Dave House.

 

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council concerning land use, building, subdivisions, administers the Zoning Ordinance and handles matters that affect the growth and development of Visalia. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Additional work sessions and meetings may be scheduled to address specific matters. This position requires the applicant to be a United States Citizen and the filing of a Fair Political Practices Commission Conflict of Interest Form (Form 700).

Interviews will be scheduled every 15 minutes beginning at 4:15 p.m. For information, call 713-4512.
