Special Enforcement Bureau

Lieutenant Kevin Kroeze currently oversees the Special Enforcement Bureau which includes the Special Enforcement Unit and the Narcotics Unit.

Lieutenant Kevin Kroeze began his law enforcement career as a Community Service Officer for the city of Paramount in 1998. In 1999, Kevin attended the LA County Sheriff's Department Academy and became a Deputy Sheriff. Kevin moved to Visalia in 2004 and went on to join the Visalia Police Department.

As a Police Officer, Kevin has held assignments in Patrol, Field Training Unit, and the Crisis Intervention Team. In 2009, he promoted to a detective in the Property Crimes Unit. After Kevin's promotion to Sergeant in 2011, he held assignments in Patrol, Field Training Unit, Violent Crimes Unit, and the Professional Standards Bureau.

Lieutenant Kroeze has a Bachelor Degree om Sociology from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and has attended the POST Supervisory Leadership Institute and the LAPD Leadership Academy. Lieutenant Kroeze has also participated in various committees such as the City of Visalia Neighborhood Preservation Committee and Patrol Planning Committee.
