TRAINING CENTER

The Training Division is staffed by an Administrative Battalion Chief and Training Captain, who are responsible for the development and maintenance of a training program to increase and enhance the response capabilities of the Fire Department, as mandated by State and Federal Standards.      

Station 55 is the largest training facility between Bakersfield and Fresno and is conveniently located in Tulare County. It has a fully function Class B (propane fueled) fire props to simulate zero visibility training. The class room is equipped with full A/V package with seating capacity of up to 40 people. Various agencies such as Cal Fire, Department of Transportation, Skylife Air, American Ambulance, Visalia Police Department and other law enforcement agencies have used Station 55 Training Center to conduct training, presentations and/or meetings.
