Presentation Request

The Visalia Fire Department's Fire Prevention Division reaches out to the community through educational forums to help educate the public with regard to fire safety. Presentations are made throughout the community on a variety of safety issues. 

Safety Presentations: 

Each presentation is offered a 30 minute presentation on fire and prevention safety. The presentations are followed by an Engine visit from one of our stations. The themes of this presentation are: 

• Matches and Lighters are tools and not toys

• Have a home fire escape plan and practice it

• Know 2 ways out of each room

• Crawl low to avoid smoke

• Exit the home immediately

• Have a safe meeting place

• If your clothes were on fire.....stop, drop and roll

• In case of an emergency.....dial 911 

Requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the event.

Every attempt is made to accommodate all requests, but due to training or other department responsibilities, not all requests can be approved.
